9:45 AMNon vegan but still vegetarian breakfast for Maya and me. Trevor gets up at 4:30 even on the weekends. We do not participate in that nonsense.
10:44 AMGathering things together for Maya's yard sale the following weekend.
11:00-12:00 I got sucked into watching The United States of Tara. Y'all don't need yet another photo of my television.
12:19 PM In the basement, doing some laundry.
1:06 PMAt the theatre. It was the closing performance of
Leading Ladies. It was a fun run, but since I volunteered last minute, I was really excited about the prospect of getting my weekends back.
2:13 PMFact: It is nearly impossible to take candid photos of actors unless you sneak up on them like deer in the woods.
3:02 PM At intermission, the signage all got changed to the next show.
4:31 PMOne last shot of the set before we started tearing it down.
5:22 Changing the marquee. I held the ladder and handed Ryan the letters, then we swapped places.
5:40 PM Bonus shot. The view from the ladder.
6:41 PMMaking progress. This was a big set and safety was a huge concern. I've always been impressed with how efficient strike is at this theatre.
7:07 PMGetting closer. I had mostly been pulling staples and sorting wood at this point, but I eventually got to grab a screw gun and do some actual deconstruction.
8:41 PMWe finished not long after 8. I ran home, scheduled a blog post for Monday, freshened up and headed to the wrap party.
9:14 PM The Casino Bar is newly reopened, and the owner invited us to come for our wrap party. The service was far from lousy.
10:05 PM Free fruity shots for the cast and crew. Delicious. I didn't make a big night of it because I was exhausted and had to work the next morning.
