Tuesday I did some grocery shopping on lunch, so I just grabbed some things from the Co-op while I was there, then stopped at home to put up groceries and eat. It was my first time trying the Israeli salad, and I can't say I'm a fan. Where I was expecting some robust herbs, it mostly tasted of mint. I like mint, but I don't like it to be overpowering, at least not when it's used on veggies.

I ended up leaving early on Friday since we were really slow, so only ate the sandwich and the veggies.
I really need to start amping up the creativity factor, though. The last thing I want to do is get stuck in a rut. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I have bought a meal for lunch about twice the last six weeks. I think that's great since there is so much to tempt a person in a Walmart, but since I basically cook only for me, I have lots of left-overs. Also, I buy the frozen entrees on sale to use in a pinch. Since you like the fresh vegetables, why not add some whole wheat pasta and some kidney beans for a pasta salad, a spinach, apple, walnut salad with raspberry vinagarette , maybe add some craisins. I really like those.
