I worked full days all week. This is so awesome for my checking account, and I'm sure that the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development appreciates it too. I'm trying to get in as many hours as possible while they're available.
I realized this week that in addition to a mid morning snack, I really need to take an afternoon snack as well. I ended up going to the vending machines for a granola bar more than once. I may just throw a box of granola bars or a bag of nuts in my desk as a precaution. Anyway, on to the food!

See that beautiful pear? It was so disappointing. Instead of being juicy and delicious, it was dry and grainy. I couldn't eat it. It made me sad.

Friday I worked a 10 hour day. I knew I'd be needing to leave to take care of some things that can't be done after 5, so I decided to skip packing my lunch and grab something while I was out. I decided on Burritos House, which is the only authentic Mexican place in town. The best thing about authentic Mexican food is that it's healthy as well as being delicious. Just some corn tortillas, chicken, onions, cilantro and a squeeze of lime and I'm a happy girl. Tiendas are one of the things I miss about Arkansas.
I want to start trying to take Trevor's example and do more prep work on Sunday, and pack as much as I can the night before. I know this will make my mornings go more smoothly. I want to be able to get out the door in time to walk or bike to work. It's only a mile, there's really no reason other than severe weather for me to be driving.
We're rapidly approaching the end of the month, so get in on the August Giveaway while you have the chance.
I love these posts! Also, chicken tacos...yummmmm.
