I've always been one of those girls who loves to buy accessories, but forgets to wear them.
Normally this wouldn't be an outfit worthy of documenting. It's jeans and a t-shirt, after all. However, I've been trying to work more accessories into my wardrobe, and I think in this case adding the scarf and necklace added a bit more interest to a super casual outfit.

I've always been attracted to scarves, but rarely wear them. I think the bright colors contrast nicely with my dark hair, I just always felt self conscious, like I'm wearing a costume. But I think I'm getting over that, because I really liked how this looked and didn't feel costumey at all.
I wore this on Saturday. My friend Donald came over to make Reuben egg rolls with me. It was a lot of fun, we made a big mess, and they turned out great. I'll have more on that later in the week.
Speaking of messes, Dyane of Oisercage invited me to participate in her Messy Mondays series. I've been reading her blog for awhile. I was first drawn in by her gorgeous outfit photos. She's very natural and confident in front of the camera, and that's inspiring. But she's more than a just a style blog. She's a good writer who shares her interests in film, books and travel. So go over and check out my post, and stick around to explore her blog.
Have a great week!
I think the scarf and necklace are super cute! You should rock scarves more often! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the scarf and I so get what you mean...I need serious help with accessorizing more.

Thanks. It was a 99 cent find! I recently put all my jewelry in plain view, so hopefully I'll start wearing it more.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'm going to try.
ReplyDeleteOh you are most kind April. Thanks for the shout-out. It was a pleasure having you lead off the week on Oisercage.com. Thanks again for participating.
