Primary Colors

So Yeah So Outfit Post
Cardigan- Covington via Goodwill; Tank and Jeans- Gap; Shoes- Madden Girl via Savers; Purse- vintage via estate sale

I wore this outfit out for drinks yesterday. My friend Donald and I were not in the mood for the craziness that is Downtown La Crosse, so we opted for a couple of quieter North Side bars. Our friend was bartending and DJ-ing karaoke at one, and another friend owns the one across the street. It'd been awhile since I've gone out so I overdid it just a little, but a breakfast burrito and a Mountain Dew this morning helped things out considerably.

I am so happy that I found these shoes at Savers yesterday. I've wanted a cute pair of wedges and I had just commented on another blog about how I never find cute shoes in my size when I'm thrifting. I guess the thrift gods were listening because these little slingback wedges fit perfectly and only set me back $5.99. It may be hard to tell from the pictures, but the canvas isn't printed different colors; that's grosgrain ribbon sewn onto the canvas. Swanky.

This was my first time using the purse I got at an estate sale last month. It's the perfect size for wallet, keys, money, cell phone, lip gloss and, a point and shoot camera.
I wonder where all the lady who used to own it took it.  I hope it's seen some good, swingin' times.

I love wearing primary colors in an outfit. What are your favorite color combinations?

  1. I love the look of primary colours - but I find if I get it wrong I spend all day looking like a pre-school teacher. I think the lemon cardi makes this right!

  2. Thanks. It is hard to find just the right balance with this combination. You're right about the danger of looking like a preschool teacher.
