Despite its being a hipster hangout, the atmosphere itself is laid back and not full of that try hard vibe you find in some coffee shops.

It's always exciting when the tables come back outside for the season.

Jules' is primarily a coffee shop, so besides scones, cookies and bagels, the only food items on the menu are veggie chili and a soup of the day. I like this simple approach, because sometimes being presented with thirty different sandwich choices is too overwhelming, and you just end up getting the turkey anyway.

I got the veggie chili and a cherry Italian soda. The chili is fantastic, and would be perfect with just a touch of Tobasco sauce. This Southern girl likes it spicy.
If I'm not there to eat, I usually get an iced chai. A fabulous thing about Jules' is that they don't charge extra for soy milk. I'm not vegan or allergic, but I try to avoid dairy when possible due to my nasal allergies. I also just think that chai tastes better with soy milk. Jules' also uses local and organic products whenever possible. Other great treats to try are their dessert lattes and fruit smoothies.
What's your favorite coffee or tea treat?
