There's a bridge over a creek bed that connects the main cabin to the bathhouse and kitchenette.

Once we got settled in, Trevor built a fire in the fire pit.

Once it was going, we sat outside, drinking beer and talking until after midnight.
There was no internet and we didn't have any cell phone reception. I think both of us were a little apprehensive at first that we wouldn't have anything to talk about. We've been together eight years, and we're so inundated with media at all times. He loves video games, and I'm constantly in my phone or on my iPad. It's sometimes hard for me to even watch a movie at home without looking something up in the middle of it
Of course we ended up with plenty to talk about. I think every couple should try to take some time away from other distractions. Even some vacations can consist of so many activities that you don't get time to just be.
I can't even believe how amazing that cabin is! Sounds like you had a magical birthday. So much love!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was looking for places to stay, I totally gasped when I first saw the picture of it. I was gripped by a single thought "Must. Stay. There."
ReplyDeleteAmazing. x hivenn
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous place to stay! I love the architecture. Very inspiring!
ReplyDeleteI'm also impressed with your packing skills. Very nice. I can never pack that efficiently, or realistically. I'm a chronic over-packer. :)
